ONSITE ACCLIMATISATION

Timber is a natural living product, On-site acclimatisation is important. The correct site storage is vital for the longevity of your hardwood floor. Try to leave timber in the room where it will be laid – make sure timber is stacked up as two cross beams so that they have adequate ventilation. Timber should be acclimatised for at least two weeks to allow its dimensions to adjust to the climate conditions of the room prior to laying.
